UPDATE: Kelly McKenzie has been found safe.

THORNTON, Ky. — State troopers are investigating the disappearance of a Letcher County teen.

Kelly G. McKenzie, 17, of Thornton, was last seen at her residence at approximately 5:00 a.m., Sunday. She is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 lbs., with a medium build, long black hair, and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Kentucky State Police, Post 13, in Hazard, at (606) 435-6069.

The case is being investigated by Trooper Zachary Neice.
