PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Days after a Louisville man was arrested after losing control of his car on a mountain road while fleeing from Prestonsburg Police, the hunt is on again.

Matthew McMahan, 36, was arrested early Saturday morning following the chase, when he crashed his vehicle in a ditch after losing control in a curve on Sen. Kelsey Friend Boulevard in Pike County. He was arrested on charges related to the chase, along with drug trafficking charges after police found meth in his car.

He was taken to a hospital after the arrest. But Tuesday night, McMahan walked out of the hospital and is believed to have gotten into a dark green Chevy Trailblazer with tinted windows and a Friends of Coal license plate that was waiting to pick him up.

Police do not believe he is a threat to the public, but he is possibly in need of medical attention.

They ask if you spot him, to call 911 or Prestonsburg Police at (606) 886-1010.
