PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A motion filed in federal court Friday indicates that a Pikeville businessman who was found guilty of fraud charges last year has reportedly not begun paying the $3.2 million he was ordered to forfeit to the government.

Now, prosecutors are asking the court to force him to give up his interest in a number of properties, including his home.

Eugene Sisco III, 36, was found guilty of health care fraud and wire fraud last November. The charges stem from a pair of schemes to make Medicaid patients at his drug treatment clinics pay for services already paid by Medicaid, and to bill the government for unnecessary drug screens.

As part of his sentence, he was ordered to forfeit $3.2 million to the government, along with more than $5 million in restitution. Because he has not made the first payment on his forfeiture, the government is now asking a judge to substitute his interest in his home and four other properties, as well as a 1992 Chevy Corvette and various pieces of equipment from his drug screening lab.

Sisco will have a chance to respond to the motion before a judge rules on the request.
