HURLEY, Va. — Flood damage has not been limited to Eastern Kentucky. One of the hardest hit areas has been in the community of Hurley, in Buchanan County, Va.
Flash flooding not only affected roads and bridges in that area, but also damaged and destroyed homes.
Now, the surrounding area is chipping in to help the victims. A number of disaster relief drives have been organized to help get household and cleaning supplies and other items to those affected by flooding.
