Pikeville Police responded to the alarm on Carter Drive Aug. 16. There, they found Randy Keathley, 56, in his truck outside. He explained that he had just had a new security system installed and he had pressed the panic button to see if it worked.

Then police discovered he was wanted on three active warrants and told him he was under arrest.

After telling police he had soiled himself and asking to change clothes, officers found a case containing a large amount of fentanyl hidden in his dirty clothes.

Keathley is now charged in U.S. District Court in Pikeville with a single count of possession of more than 40 grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute. If convicted, he will face a sentence of between five and 40 years in prison.
