ELKHORN CITY, Ky. — Police are investigating after human remains were found in Elkhorn City over the weekend.

Human skeletal remains were found in a creek along Cougar Drive around 4 p.m., Saturday.

The remains were removed by the Pike County Coroner’s Office and sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.

Kentucky State Police is continuing to investigate the discovery. They ask anyone with information to contact them at (606) 433-7711.
