SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — Two men were arrested on drug trafficking charges after they were pulled over for suspected impaired driving.

A Magoffin County deputy pulled over a car on U.S. 460 Tuesday morning, after he noticed it swerving. After the driver was unable to produce a license or insurance, he got permission to search the car and found a magnetic box hidden behind the glove compartment.

Inside the box, the deputy found two bags of meth and two bags of fentanyl. Both men denied ownership of the drugs, so both were arrested.

Anthony Dobbins, 37, and Channing Dyer, 34, both of Salyersville, are now charged with trafficking in meth and fentanyl, along with possession of drug paraphernalia. Dobbins, as the driver, was also charged with several traffic violations.

Both men are being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville.
