STEELE, Ky. — A third person has now been arrested for the shooting death of a Pike County man over the weekend.

Christopher Lester, 42, of Steele, was found dead of gunshot wounds on Saturday.
Michael Shane Brown, 41, of Feds Creek, was arrested for his murder in Virginia later that day, and Anthony Clyde Browning, 30, of Thacker, W.Va., was arrested in Mingo County on Tuesday. Both men were charged with Lester’s murder.
On Wednesday, Michael Shortridge, 25, of Feds Creek, was also arrested and charged with murder.
The arrest warrant notes Shortridge initially came to police’s attention during the investigation, when he identified Brown as the shooter. When Brown was arrested, he allegedly admitted that he and Browning both shot Lester.
However, the arrest warrant goes on to say that police received information on Wednesday that Shortridge was also involved in the murder. When questioned again by police, he reportedly admitted to shooting Lester one time, but said he did so under duress from Brown.
Shortridge is being held without bond in the Pike County Detention Center.
