
STEELE, Ky. — Two men have been arrested out of state, accused of killing a man in Pike County.
Kentucky State Police responded to a shooting Saturday on Laurel Fork at Steele. There, they found the body of Christopher Lester, 42, of Steele, dead of gunshot wounds.
The investigation identified two suspects, Michael Brown, 41, of Feds Creek, and Anthony Clyde Browning, 30, of Thacker, W.Va., who have both now been arrested. Brown was arrested Saturday by the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office. Browning was arrested Tuesday in Mingo County by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office, Matewan Police, West Virginia State Police and U.S. Marshals.
Both men have been charged with murder and felon in possession of a firearm. The case remains under investigation.
