BELFRY, Ky. — Police searching for a fugitive in the Belfry area ended up getting their man, along with two other people.

Officers went to a home on Black Gem Road, searching for 39-year-old Cecil Diamond, who was wanted on a warrant out of Wayne County, W.Va., where he was arrested on an armed robbery charge back in the summer.

Although officers could see people inside, they were unable to get anyone to answer the door. As they were getting ready to leave, Ricky Maynard, 58, of Phelps, answered the door.

Police then began clearing the home, when they found Diamond hiding inside a closet. He was arrested on a fugitive warrant.

Maynard and another person, Ailisa Hendricks, 22, of Williamson, were also arrested on charges of hindering prosecution.
