
RANSOM, Ky. — A West Virginia man was arrested in Pike County Friday evening, after reports that he pulled a gun and threatened to kill multiple people.
Kentucky State Police received a call just before 7 p.m., saying that Carl Kennedy, 54, of Simon, W.Va., was standing in the middle of Middle Fork Road at Ransom, firing a gun and threatening to kill multiple people inside a nearby home.
When police arrived, they found Kennedy under a carport. Officers say he immediately began cursing and threatening them and tried to reach into his pockets.
Kennedy was placed under arrest, at which time police found a .380 caliber pistol in his back pocket. They also found numerous .380 caliber casings outside of the residence.
Kennedy was arrested on misdemeanor charges of terroristic threatening and menacing.
