PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to be aware of a scam making the rounds in Pike County.

Several Pike County residents have reported receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be from the sheriff’s office, demanding money or personal information.

The office says it will never call people to demand personal information, money or gift cards, and reminds everyone to never give out personal information over the phone.
