TALCUM, Ky. — For the second time in a week, Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash involving an off-road vehicle in Knott County.

Police were called to a UTV crash on Starfire Haul Road, at Talcum. Preliminary reports say that Michael Miller, 43, of Vest, was operating a UTV when he lost control of the vehicle and overturned, sustaining fatal injuries.

Police say Miller was not wearing a seat belt or helmet at the time of the crash.

Miller’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and a toxicology tests.

The previous Wednesday, an 11-year-old boy was killed in an ATV crash.

Both cases remain under investigation.
