PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Two Alabama men who were arrested months apart on drug charges while driving the same car are now facing federal charges together.
Frederick Daniel Holt Jr., 50, of Gadsden, Ala., and Floyd Jenkins, 45, of Munford, Ala., were indicted by a federal grand jury on Thursday.
Holt was arrested back in October after police got a report that he was selling fentanyl out of his room at the Days Inn, in Paintsville.
Jenkins was arrested Dec. 4, after he was found with a quarter-pound of meth and an ounce-and-a-half of fentanyl in his car. A week later, police searched his car again and found another 205 grams of meth hidden in a box attached under his rear bumper.
Both men are now charged with conspiracy to distribute meth and fentanyl. Holt is also charged with distributing meth and possession of fentanyl with the intent to distribute, while Jenkins is also charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute.
If convicted, they face sentences of between five and 40 years in prison.
