The hunt for someone to operate a new marina at Fishtrap Lake is continuing, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extending the deadline for proposals.
The Corps is looking for someone to build a new marina, as no infrastructure is present. The site consists of approximately 15 acres, with electric and water utilities present. A new water meter must be installed by the operator. An above ground convault tank is available and will need to be inspected, pumped and potentially repaired.
Those interested in submitting an application can inspect the site by appointment only on Thursday, March 3. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (304) 207-3359 by emailing katie.c.wallace@usace.army.mil.
Those interested can request an Application for Leasing describing the site and giving details of the lease requirements. To obtain a copy, write to U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Attn: CELRH-RE-M, 502 Eighth Street, Huntington, West Virginia 25701 or email katie.c.wallace@usace.army.mil. Applications can be requested until March 14.
Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes by March 21.
