FLAT GAP, Ky. — A Johnson County woman faces up to 10 years in prison, after being arrested for a stabbing.
Police were called to an address at Williams Branch, at Flat Gap, Friday afternoon, over a report of an altercation between a man and woman. When a deputy arrived at the scene, he was immediately approached by Tiffany Rebecca Williams, 36, who he described as “covered in blood.”
As the deputy began checking Williams for injuries, she reportedly told him she didn’t know “if all of the blood was his or not,” referring to the man with whom she had been fighting. She also told the deputy she had stabbed the man with a red kitchen knife inside of their tent.
Williams refused to talk to police any further about the incident, but after police interviewed family members and the victim, she was charged with second-degree assault, which is punishable by 5-to-10 years in prison, if she is convicted.
She is currently being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
