Deputies charge five with trafficking following Magoffin search

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — Five people were taken to jail on felony drug trafficking charges, after the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office found drugs during a raid.

Deputies went to a home on Elk Creek Road around 10 p.m. Sunday to serve a search warrant. There, they found three plastic bags of a white power, along with marijuana, empty bags, and eight guns.



No one in the home was willing to make a statement. As a result, deputies arrested Minnie Johnson, 57, and Jennifer Fletcher, 41, both Elk Creek; Aireana Williams, 18, of Columbus, Ohio; and Marvin Hunter Jr., 28, and Kaylen Banta, 20, of Pontiac, Mich.

All five are charged with first-degree drug trafficking, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
