PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man accused of repeatedly returning to a home after being evicted from it now faces a felony charge for allegedly attacking the police officer arresting him.
Paintsville Police were called to a home on Lower Street just after midnight on Monday, over a report that Glenn Ray Moore, 48, had returned to the home, despite being repeatedly told to stay away.
When the officer arrived, he discovered that Moore had allegedly broken into a vehicle and moved it to block the road. Moore was found in the residence, and after being told he was under arrest, allegedly began fighting with the officer.
The officer wrote in his report that once Moore was secured in the back of his police car, he spit on the officer and screamed that he has “full blown AIDS” and hoped the officer catches it and dies.
Originally facing a misdemeanor charge of trespassing, Moore now faces a long list of charges, including assaulting a police officer, which carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
