Floyd sheriff arrests three during drug raid

ALLEN, Ky. — Three people were taken to jail and more could be on the way, following a raid at a Floyd County home on Sunday.

A drug investigation lasting several months culminated in deputies with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office taking a search warrant to the home of 38-year-old Austin Shepherd, in Allen. At the home, they seized heroin, meth, fentanyl, pills and other drugs allegedly being sold out of the home.

Shepherd was arrested five counts of drug trafficking and other charges.

Also arrested was 37-year-old Bethany Hall, of Stanville, and 36-year-old James Lewis, of Galveston on outstanding warrants.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
