
NORTON, Va. — The three people killed Sunday morning in a murder-suicide in Norton have now been identified.
Police received a report of a shooting at a home on Highland Avenue Northwest, just after 11 Sunday morning. When they arrived, they found the bodies of Bryan Wampler, 53; his wife, Vivian Wampler, 53; and her mother, Elizabeth Sturgill, 81.
Virginia State Police believe Bryan Wampler shot and killed his wife and mother-in-law, before turning the gun on himself.
The investigation is continuing.
