PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Funeral services will be held Wednesday for a popular Prestonsburg physician who lost his battle with cancer last week.

Dr. Michael Douglas Goble died at home on Thursday.

He served on the medical staff at Highlands ARH, where he was director of the physician rounding group and a lead member of the physician covid team.

He was also co-medical director for Appalachian Hospice.

He is survived by his parents, wife, children and step-children.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday and continue all day Tuesday at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Gethsemane Gardens.

Dr. Goble was 40 years old.
