PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pike County Schools is establishing a virtual option for students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
While administrators say they believe in-person learning is best, a statement on the district’s Facebook page announces the establishment of the Pike County Virtual Academy in response to the pandemic.
To enroll in the virtual academy, students must currently be enrolled in Pike County Schools and have reliable internet and equipment to access online learning. Parents must also attend an orientation next week.
