PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man has been found guilty of federal drug trafficking charges involving the death of one of his customers, following a three-day trial.

Justin Bryant, 38, of Pikeville, was found guilty Friday of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death and conspiracy to distribute heroin and fentanyl. He now faces between 20 years and life in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 7.

Two others were also charged in the case — John Holbrooks, 53, of Rockhouse, and Jayshawn Robinson, 30, of Pontiac, Mich.

Holbooks pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge back in May and awaits sentencing on Nov. 21.

Charges against Robinson were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea to a charge of conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth and heroin in another case. He will face between 10 years and life in prison in that case when he is sentenced Oct. 21.
