
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pikeville woman who was being arrested for outstanding warrants found herself in even more trouble, when she allegedly punched the police officer.
The officer went to a home on Peach Orchard Drive to arrest Teresa Holbrook, 48, Thursday night.
Holbrook came to the door and cracked it open to keep two pit bull terriers from getting out. When the officer told her she was under arrest, she reportedly said, “No, I’m not,” and tried to go back in the house and shut the door.
The officer was able to grab her wrist and was trying to take her into custody while also fighting to keep dogs in the house. He wrote in his report that Holbrook attempted to kick the door open to release the dogs.
When the officer finally got Holbrook out of the house, she allegedly punched him in the eye.
She was jailed on charges of assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and terroristic threatening, on top of the outstanding
