Prestonsburg, Ky: For the first time in over 22 years Prestonsburg High School will have a new leader roaming the sidelines. The school named Brandon Brewer as there new head football coach. Brewer has coached the last three seasons at Powell Co High School. Brewer led Powell Co to a 8 and 5 record last season and a regional championship berth. He led the Pirates to a 20 and 16 record. Here is a few words from the new coach of the Blackcats.
“It’s a position that has a lot of tradition and has had a lot of great coaches there. I’m just humbled and excited about the opportunity to add my name to the list of great coaches that have been there and part of a program with great tradition. We run a wing-t offense, its a variation; we run it from a shotgun or a pistol. We’ll run a lot of the traditional wing-t plays and buck-sweep and isolation and power off tackles. You know we’ll implement a lot of our passing game and some quick passing game concepts with some screens.”
