
As baseball and softball seasons wrap up across the region, a pair of East Ridge standouts are finishing the year among Kentucky’s statistical leaders.
On the softball field, junior Savannah Baldridge ranked 24th in the state in strikeouts with 190 on the season. Baldridge pitched in 18 games in the circle for the Lady Warriors and finished the year with a 3.42 ERA.
The Lady Warriors closed the softball season with a 7-14 record, falling to Shelby Valley 4-3 in the opening round of the 59th District Tournament.
On the baseball diamond, junior Cole Ratliff turned in one of the top pitching seasons in the state. Ratliff finished tied for third in Kentucky with nine wins, ranked seventh in strikeouts with 115 and led the state in innings pitched with 79.2.
The Warriors wrapped up the season at 13-21, but made a strong postseason run that ended in the 15th Region tournament against Johnson Central. The regional appearance marked a major step forward for the program after a lengthy drought.
