GLENDALE, Ariz. — This year’s Super Bowl will have an Eastern Kentucky flavor, as homegrown talent Chris Stapleton will sing the National Anthem at this year’s event.
The Paintsville native was announced to sing the Star-Spangled Banner Tuesday morning.
Stapleton is an eight-time Grammy, 15-time Country Music Association and 10-time Academy of Country Music award-winner, but he is not the only big voice to be singing at this year’s Super Bowl.
Babyface will sing “America the Beautiful,” while Sheryl Lee Ralph will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
And Rihanna will return to the stage for the first time in five years to perform this year’s halftime show.
Super Bowl LVII will take place Feb. 12 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona and will air on Fox.
