GRAYSON, Ky. — Court records are painting a picture of the pursuit and arrest of three Cincinnati men charged in a Pike County double murder.

Jolon Marcell McCree, 22; Joshua Orlando Pack Jr., 25; and Devon A. Overstreet, 26, were arrested Friday afternoon. They are charged with the murder of Jacob Adair, 28, of Belfry, and Rodney Estep, 38, of Lexington, as well as the attempted murder of Chasity Adair, 28, of Belfry.

Following the shooting, the perpetrators were believed to have fled the scene in a white Dodge Charger.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, a Carter County sheriff’s deputy spotted the car driving east on Interstate 64 at Grayson. He attempted to pull it over, but the vehicle fled, turning first onto Route 1 and then onto Route 9, when the deputy lost sight of it.

A little over two hours later, the car was spotted by another deputy on Route 7 and it once again fled, turning onto Route 9 toward Vanceburg.

As the officer pursued, court records note the vehicle repeatedly swerved into oncoming traffic, causing six vehicles, including two tractor-trailers to veer onto the shoulder to avoid a collision.

The car finally came to a stop about five miles inside Lewis County and the three occupants surrendered.

In addition to the murder and attempted murder charges in Pike County, all three are also charged with fleeing police and auto theft in Carter County. Pack also faces a drug possession charge after police found a bag of fentanyl in his pocket. As the driver, McCree is also charged with speeding and six counts of wanton endangerment.

All three continue to be held without bond in the Carter County jail.
