BETSY LAYNE, Ky. — A traffic stop on U.S. 23 last week resulted in four people being arrested for drug trafficking.

A state trooper pulled over a northbound Kia Optima in Betsy Layne on Wednesday because it was missing a side-view mirror.

The driver of the car, identified as Jeremy Boyd, 39, of Banner, told the officer after being questioned that he had meth and heroin in his possession.

Three other people were in the car, including James Huff, 56, of Pippa Passes; Shawna Huff, 44, of Pippa Passes; and Pamela Hall, 38, of Printer. All three of the passengers were also found in possession of meth, heroin or both.

In Hall’s case, police seized a 90 gram bag of meth the size of a fist.

In all, nearly 5 ounces of meth, 12 grams of heroin and nearly $4,000 in small bills were seized.

All four were arrested and charged with trafficking in meth and heroin.
