On June 18, health officials have confirmed a new positive case of COVID-19 in Floyd County, Kentucky.
According to a Facebook post from the Floyd County Health Department, this new case brings the total to 24 confirmed cases with 17 recovered and 7 in isolation.
Floyd County health officials say that eleven of the cases were announced in April, six cases in May and seven have been confirmed in June, so far.
Several of the last cases have been linked to other cases in Floyd County and other surrounding counties and cases are spread out across the area with no specific areas showing up as “hotspots”, the post says.
No other information regarding the patient has been released.
