PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Paintsville woman was arrested after her 1-month-old child tested positive for meth.
Social Services had been investigating a report that Lavanna Tackett, 28, had been using drugs in her home with the child present. After a blood test revealed the presence of meth in the child’s system, deputies were called to investigate further.
During a search of the home, officers discovered small amounts of meth, heroin and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.
Tackett has been charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, along with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
