Nine new COVID-19 cases in Mingo County

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Nine new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Mingo County over the weekend.

The cases include a 3-year-old boy, a 7-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy.

Mingo County has now seen 82 cases confirmed in the month of August, so far. That compares to 130 in July and 17 in June.

The Mingo County Health Department is notifying anyone who had close contact with the new cases, and instructing them to quarantine for 14 days.
