Victims, suspects in Belfry murder named

BELFRY, KY. – Kentucky State Police has named the victims and suspects in a shooting that left two people dead and one hospitalized.

KSP troopers and investigators responded to a home on State Highway 292 W where they discovered three subjects had been shot.

The initial investigation indicated Jacob Adair, 28, of Belfry, and Rodney Estep, 38, of Lexington, suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Chasity Adair, 28, of Belfry, suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. 

As a result of this investigation, the following individuals were arrested and lodged in the Carter County Detention Center:

  • Joshua Orlando Pack Jr., 25, of Cincinnati, is charged with Murder (Attempt) and two counts of Murder (Complicity)
  • Devon A. Overstreet, 26, of Cincinnati, is charged with Murder (Attempt) and two counts of Murder (Complicity)
  • Jolon Marcell McCree, 22, of Cincinnati, is charged with Murder (Attempt) and two counts of Murder (Complicity)

Detective Joshua Scott is leading the investigation. He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel and Appalachian First Response Ambulance Service.
