PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Huntington man Wednesday night who they say was bringing fentanyl and crack cocaine to Prestonsburg.

Deputies learned about the transaction from a confidential informant, who arranged for them to listen in on a phone call with the suspect. During the phone call, deputies learned that the suspect, identified as 31-year-old David Charles “Juice” Felder, planned to bring “two quarter-pounds” of fentanyl and crack.
They also found out the suspect planned to deliver the drugs to Prestonsburg Village shopping center, near the McDonald’s drive-thru. That’s where deputies found Felder waiting with his girlfriend.
Felder reportedly insisted that there was another vehicle following him and there were no drugs in his girlfriend’s car, but a police dog had a strong response to the car. As a result, the car was seized and a warrant was obtained for a more thorough search later.
Felder was arrested and charged with fentanyl and cocaine trafficking. He is being held on a $25,000 dollar cash bond.
This is not Felder’s first run-in with the courts in Floyd County. In 2022, he was indicted on charges of trafficking in fentanyl and marijuana. He eventually reached a deal that resulted in him pleading guilty to possession and receiving a two-year suspended sentence.
