SIDNEY, Ky. — Kentucky State Police is investigating, after a man was killed in a shooting.

Police say William Chaney, 41, of Pikeville, was shot and killed Wednesday at a home on North Big Creek Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Det. Joshua Scott is leading the investigation into the incident. His findings will be presented to a grand jury to consider for possible criminal prosecution.
