PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The U.S. Postal Service has announced the immediate closure of the Pikeville Post Office on Thompson Road, in the Pikeville Commons shopping center, until further notice.
The Postal Service said in its announcement that the building has been ordered to be evacuated due to “structural issues,” but provided no further detail.
The downtown Post Office on Main Street will remain open. Customers with a post office box will be able to pick up their mail from that location.
