HUEYSVILLE, Ky. – Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found along a railroad in Floyd County earlier this month.
Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville received a call from Prestonsburg 911 on Saturday, March 7, regarding an unresponsive woman at Hueysville.
Officers responding to the scene near Mulberry Lane found the body of Trishanna “Nikki” Nicole Anderson Duncan, 32, of Garrett, near railroad tracks. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.
Her body has been transported to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The cause of death remains under investigation at this time.
Det. Joseph Coleman is leading the investigation and was assisted at the scene by personnel from Kentucky State Police Post 9 and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
