WISE, Va. — A Wise County couple who owned a real estate agencies in Wise and Abingdon, Va., as well as Jonesborough, Tenn., have been charged with wire fraud and fraud with identification documents, as part of a complicated real estate scheme that allegedly netted them hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Jessee Allen Deloach and Natasha Ashley Deloach operated Koltown Properties from 2016 to 2019.
According to an affidavit filed by the FBI agent who investigated the case, the Deloaches would submit bogus real estate sales contracts to commission advance companies who would front them their commission on the supposed sales. They also are accused of creating at least four fake title companies that would “verify” the sales contracts so they could receive the commission payments.
The scheme is alleged to have generated more than $300,000 for the couple.
The two surrendered to authorities at the federal courthouse in Abingdon and were later released on unsecured $25,000 bonds. They are due back in court Sept. 14 for a preliminary hearing.
