TOMAHAWK, Ky. — A Martin County man has been arrested on a child abuse charge, after police say he hit his girlfriend’s daughter.

A state trooper was called to Three Rivers Medical Center to speak to the girl. She told police that Kevin Michael Litton, 35, of Tomahawk, began arguing with her for taking one of his sodas, when he told her to come to him because he had a surprise for her. When she did, she said he held her down and began hitting her in the face with an open hand.

When police spoke to Litton, he said that he had the girl pinned while they were “playing WWE,” when he accidentally hit her in the face.

Litton was arrested and charged with first-degree abuse of a child younger than 12. Because of the girl’s age, he faces a potential sentence of 10-to-20 years if convicted.
